My baby shower!

On June 4th, my friend Danielle was so kind enough to throw me a baby shower (after I asked her to!).
There was great food and lots of great people came. We had such a fun time!

It's been quite a while since I've updated my blog. I thought I'd better catch up!

Saturday, April 23, we had an HOA Easter Egg Hunt. Kenadie had a great time!

Easter Egg Hunt in the backyard. She scored with the candy, money, cereal, juice, and crackers!

I'm not sure what the history of the egg hunt is and how it started, but the kids love it and it's so fun to see their faces when they find something. But I won't forget the true meaning of Easter. I'm so grateful for our Savior and that He died for us. And that He was resurrected on the 3rd day, giving us all the opportunity to do the same. What an amazing thing it is that we can all live with our families after this life!

New Closet

Well, the next step in making the room "formerly known as the office" into Kenadie's room is done....shelving in the closet! Well, we have to paint it but it's put in and that makes me so happy! The awesome handyman who did this is my very own daddy! Next step, bead board!

Bedding for Kenadie

I was at Target today and happened to make my way over to the girls' bedding, just wanting to see what they had for Kenadie's big girl bed we'll be getting in the next month or two, and this is the first thing I saw and I fell in love with it. So cute, right? I hope the green goes well with the green we have on the walls.

I wish shopping for boys' crib bedding was this easy! I am struggling with that one for sure! Bule would probably be all for me using Kenadie's crib bedding for the boy just so we don't have to spend any more money! I wish I was joking.

Lots To Do!

There are a lot of things to do before our baby boy gets here this summer.

One thing is moving Kenadie into the room next to where she is now. Probably in the next month or two that will be a reality.

This is the first step to making the office, as it is now, into Kenadie's new room.

I LOVE the look of Vinyl but HATE the application process.

Can't wait for the other projects in her room to be done - new shelving in the closet, beadboard on the walls, new bed, etc. Yeay for fun projects!

I'm so excited for the arrival of our little one sometime around the end of June, beginning of July. Depends on what the baby has in mind for its debut!

Countin' Down The Days

This is my advent calendar. But it doesn't look like a calendar, you say. I know. But it does the job! This cute advent calendar is from Stampin' Up!. It came with EVERYTHING...boxes, die-cut shapes, numbers, ribbon, string and clothes-pins. All I had to do was glue on the die-cuts and numbers, tie the ribbon and find somewhere to hang the thing. So easy and so cute!
My fillers are candy, every other day, toys for Dee's and activities like make cookies, make snowflake and decorate the window. I love this idea. And it will just get more fun each year as Kenadie gets older and understands what it means.
